Gays and lesbians are more frequent blog readers than their heterosexual counterparts and are more likely to be members of a social network, according to a survey released on Tuesday.
Fifty-four percent of the gay and lesbian respondents in the Harris Interactive survey said they are blog readers compared with 40 percent of heterosexuals.
The nationwide Harris Interactive survey involved 2,412 US adults, 271 of whom identified themselves as gay or lesbian, and was conducted June 14-21.—Agence France-Presse
Well, the survey was conducted among U.S. citizens but do you think the same applies here in the Philippines? Discuss.

siguro dahil hindi pa tayo openly na tanggap sa lipunan kaya we go to medium where we can protect our identity.
@CC, hehehe. As to why, I guess it has to do with the fact that the Internet is a great enabler of minority voices while preserving anonymity. Those characteristics make it obvious why gay people take to social media.
@Ming Meows, I agree.
